Our ESG Commitment
At Afiniti we are committed to harnessing the power of AI for good by upholding our environmental, social, and governance responsibilities. By integrating ESG principles into our AI-driven innovation and into our operations, we strive to create value for our customers while also contributing to a more sustainable and equitable world.
This statement serves as a directive for all levels of our organization, guiding the actions of management, employees, and suppliers towards achieving our environmental, sustainability and governance objectives.
We acknowledge our role as a global corporate citizen and recognize the responsibility we hold in mitigating the environmental impact associated with our operations. We firmly believe that reducing our environmental footprint not only aligns with our values but also strengthens the sustainability of our business.
Environmental Priorities
Energy Efficiency: We understand that resource efficiency, particularly in energy consumption, is crucial for sustainability. Our product design approach aims to reduce the carbon, water and energy footprints of datacenters by utilizing efficient and sustainable data processing methods such batch processing, symmetric multiprocessing for minimal resource consumption. We continuously seek opportunities to innovate and develop our AI products and solutions so as to address environmental challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future. Our plan is to develop and deploy energy-efficient technologies through which we can track our consumption and establish consumption reduction plans.
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions: We recognize the urgent need to mitigate climate change by reducing GHG emissions associated with our activities. We commit to measuring, analyzing and establishing a targeted action plan to both our direct and indirect emissions. We will look to implement a carbon footprint assessment, establishing measurable emission reduction targets that will be reported to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors, investing in operational processes to minimize carbon footprint.
Managing E-Waste: As electronic hardware users, we acknowledge our responsibility to manage e-waste responsibly. We prioritize the safe and environmentally friendly handling of end-of-life electronic products, striving for reuse, refurbishment, and proper disposal. We will establish take-back programs, refurbishing obsolete equipment, and ensuring compliance with waste management regulations.
Social - Culture & Belonging
We aim to create an inclusive workplace where everyone thrives and contributes meaningfully, embracing diversity, valuing each person’s unique contributions and leveraging diverse viewpoints to widen the lens to how we capture what Culture and Belonging means at Afiniti. Through proactive initiatives and ongoing evaluation, we address barriers to belonging, celebrate diversity, and ensure all employees feel seen, heard, and valued, ultimately building a stronger, more unified organization.
Governance Priorities
Ethical AI: As pioneers in AI technology, we believe that using AI responsibly is good for everyone. That includes the brands who use our AI, contact center agents, and consumers who expect fair treatment and responsible use of their data. We apply our Responsible AI Protocol in everything we do, following 6 principles: accountability, explainability, transparency, fairness, data protection and compliance. Led by Afiniti’s Chief Data Officer Dr. Caroline O’Brien, Afiniti’s responsible AI program features a set of policies and procedures based on our core principles and a focus on responsible AI by design.
Governance and Compliance: We adhere to governance practices to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Our governance framework encompasses policies and procedures that promote accountability, risk management and responsible decision-making across our organization.
Social Responsibility: At Afiniti, we are committed to fostering positive social impact and inclusive growth. Through initiatives such as Women@Afiniti, mandatory unconscious bias training for all employees and partnerships with nonprofits such as WICT (Women in Cable Telecommunications), we seek to address societal challenges, including education and gender inequality.
